Roosevelt said, “Millions of our citizens do not now have a full measure of opportunity to achieve and to enjoy good health .” It is impossible to achieve or enjoy good health if you are unable to afford the basic necessities. If you are unable to pay for food, shelter, clothing, and medical care, then no one can be healthy. The problem with this quote is that it is often misused. It is not clear if Roosevelt was talking about the poor or if he was talking about everyone except the very rich.
